AIRYX WASTEWATER GAS ANALYZERS (WGA)


Measurement system providing long-term stable, real-time measurements of relevant greenhouse gas emissions from wastewater treatment plants along with minimal maintenance and calibration effort. 

The measurement principle for N2O, CO2, and CH4 analysis is Non-dispersive infrared (NDIR), which is based on the absorption of infrared light at gas-specific wavelengths. The decrease in detected infrared intensity is proportional to the concentration of N2O, CO2, or CH4 in the sample gas. Additionally, an electrochemical oxygen sensor measures O2 concentration through a chemical reaction at the sensor electrodes, generating an electrical signal that is proportional to the oxygen level.

Gases are sampled via a flexible deployable floating hoods. The WGA does not need any gas bottles for operation and offers increased precision by background-corrected emission quantification, internal zero-drift reduction and correction for cross interferences (CO2, water vapour) by cutting-edge Airyx technology.
